AI and Data Science for Healthcare Working Group (AID-H)
The AI and Data Science for Healthcare (AID-H) Working Group is an interdisciplinary initiative that drives innovation at the intersection of healthcare, data science, and artificial intelligence. Co-chaired by Dr. Rui Zhang (Professor and Founding Chief, Division of Computational Health Sciences, Department of Surgery) and Dr. Jie Ding (Associate Professor, School of Statistics), this working group creates opportunities for researchers from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on cutting-edge AI-for-healthcare research.
Goals
- Facilitating interdisciplinary research collaborations across healthcare, statistics, computer science, and related fields
- Securing large grants and funding to support innovative health + AI projects
- Advancing the state-of-the-art in data science and AI applications
Activities
The working group will include interactive workshops with brief presentations on state-of-the-art research, followed by panel discussions exploring opportunities for collaboration and funding. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to take part in 1-on-1 meetings, offering focused conversations aligned with individual expertise and research interests.
